MICROBLADING

The Semi Permanent cosmetic procedure For browS

Is it magic? NO! It's Microblading!!!

What is Microblading?
Microblading is said to originate in Japan fairly recently. It has only been in the US a few years so far with it's popularity growing like wildfire in Europe and Asia. Unlike traditional methods of tattooing eyebrows using heavy tattoo needles, Microblading offers tiny hair like strokes using 12 tiny needles lined in a row. I coat the skin with pure pigments and it absorbs the color into the tiny hair strokes giving the appearance of actual hair. It is a meticulous and very artistic process. If someone isn't good at shaping eyebrows, they will NOT be good at Microblading. Microblading is not considered a tattoo because it is not as deep as one! The deeper you tattoo the more chance of the lines becoming blurry or thick. Since Microblading is very superficial, the lines can be controlled and can remain crisp and thin.

Does it hurt?
Not really!! I use an amazing numbing cream! Slight discomfort is felt during the process, including a little soreness in the area afterwards. The tiny amount of pain is so worth not having to draw on your brows!!!

How long does it last?
1 Year!!! Again, since it isn't a tattoo, the color isn't meant to stay in the skin for longer than that. However, if you love your brows and want to keep them for longer you can get regular touchups to keep them fresh and vibrant.

Does it work for everyone?
Not everyone is a candidate. People with trouble healing, people taking blood thinners, and extremely oily skin can cause the pigment to be pushed out of the skin or the lines to heal incorrectly or patchy. Some strokes may not hold no matter what I do. However, if you are still wanting some help with nicer brows, you will at least have a template to follow when penciling in the areas that didn't stick. Everyone is different and heals different!! I choose not to work on pregnant women, some Microblading specialists will, and there is no proof that it is bad for the baby... but there is also no proof that it isn't! Because of this, I would rather wait until baby is safe and out of mamas belly, then we can give you those perfect brows and your new little nugget won't even be a concern.

What can I expect afterwards?
For a few days after your procedure you can expect the pigment to appear darker and slightly thicker. This is because the pigment is still at the very top of the skin and needs to continue to absorb into the skin. Slight flakiness will occur towards the end of the healing progress. Don't be alarmed if any pigment or skin fluid comes to the surface during this time, it is completely normal. This is a natural healing process for your skin to go through. Once the flakes are off the true pigment is revealed and the crisp lines will return to the normal state. It is recommended you come in 30-90 days after the first procedure to have a touchup. This ensures that there are no patches or areas that need more pigment and that your brows are ready to last you the year!!

What can I do to maintain them?
Wear SPF, avoid tanning your face, use mild cleanser on your brows and avoid any retinol, acids, or retin-a in the area it's been Microbladed. Other than that you wake up with perfect brows that are waterproof and perfectly sculpted for your particular face shape. You can throw out all those brow products now!! Shower, swim, and workout all while never having to worry about your eyebrows!

Is it expensive?
Not with me!!! I compared prices to big cities and also places that have been doing it for a year or longer. They usually start at around $550 and can go up to $1000 depending on the location they are based. Since Delaware is still new to the Microblading scene, I chose to keep my prices low in the beginning until it really takes off. My price is $500 and includes your first touchup (within 90 days)

Do you have to shave off my eyebrows?
NO!!! Microblading is not meant to be an alternative to eyebrow hair unless you don't have any to begin with. It looks the best when you already have a little hair to blend in with it! I simply draw the shape of your brows and then anything outside of those lines will be tweezed away. A lot of people have tried for years to get spots to grow and they just won't come back, or they are naturally thin in those areas. Also great for people that had a waxing mishap right before a special event! This is where Microblading comes to save the day. People no longer have to worry about the brows looking "fake" or "penciled in" because if done correctly, you can't tell the difference between the real hair and the Microbladed hairs.

When can I book?
NOW! A $100 non-refundable deposit is due to hold your 2 hour appointment. Consultations are included in this appointment. Medical history, deciding on the shape and color as well as any questions or concerns are all answered during this time.

Is it completely sterile?
YES!!! Everything I use is completely disposable and a very strong hospital grade cleanser is used to clean the room between each and every client.
